Relocation is a regular part of military life, and while it can mean a shift in routine, it also brings the need to assimilate into a new community. The credit union expanded its PCS offerings—consolidating them into a central resource hub that’s designed to equip Active Duty military and their families with knowledge and support during each stage of their transition to a new community.

“A PCS move is more than a relocation; it’s the start of a new chapter,” said Annie Sebastian, chief member strategy officer at Navy Federal. “Our goal is to help improve the financial wellbeing of members who are PCSing, providing them with the right tools and services to be financially resilient and embrace each change of duty station with confidence.”

Developed in collaboration with Veterans and military spouses who’ve experienced frequent PCS moves, the specific tools and guidance available in Navy Federal’s resource hub includes:

  • Robust PCS checklists with moving tips and comprehensive to-do lists.
  • Monthly spending calculator to track current expenses, manage costs and budget for the next duty station.
  • Special product offers tailored for Servicemembers and military families experiencing PCS.
  • Real-time guidance through our 24/7 stateside member service team.

“Our mission is to make sure our members are supported wherever life takes them,” said Brian K. Parker, vice president of member experience innovation at Navy Federal, responsible for designing banking experiences for Active Duty and their families. “We’re delivering personalized tools and trusted resources that move with our members—ensuring a smooth transition from one home to the next.”

In the coming months and beyond, the credit union plans to introduce additional tailored resources, tools and products that will help improve military members and their families’ experiences throughout PCS.

This expanded PCS Initiative builds on Navy Federal’s long-standing commitment of service. It’s part of a broader effort to support military life transitions—from enlistment to transitioning to civilian life to retirement.
