Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters to Host United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Eastern District Drywall and Flooring Olympics in Edison, New Jersey
EDISON, N.J., May 16, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Saturday, May 19th from 8-11 a.m., the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters (NRCC) will host the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBCJA) Eastern District Drywall and Flooring Olympics at the new, state-of-the-art Carpenters Training Center in Edison, NJ at 75 Fieldcrest Avenue.
The following Eastern District Councils will send their qualifying representative to compete in both Olympics: Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters; New York City & Vicinity District Council; New England Regional Council; and Keystone + Mountain + Lakes Regional Council.

Drywall Olympics

The UBCJA Eastern District Drywall and Flooring Olympics is a competition that tests the skills, agility and craftsmanship of journey-level UBC carpenters. The event will have competitors install sheets of drywall as well as floorlaying tiles and will be judged on the basis of time, neatness and safety.

The winners of the Eastern District Drywall and Flooring Olympics will compete in the UBCJA National Olympics event on June 27, 2018. The UBCJA National Olympics will be a highlight of the annual UBCJA Interior/Exterior Systems & INSTALL Leadership Conference, held at the Carpenters International Training Center in Las Vegas from June 24-27.
