Despite struggling early in his career, he has found a home at Newcastle in England.

He has scored 19 goals this season in the Premier League. Only Erling Haaland (20) and Cole Palmer (21) have bagged more.

A video of Isak touring his homeland, Eritrea, in 2018 has been spotted on social media. The striker reportedly visited a football school in Eritrea. He shared a wholesome moment with young footballers.

Isak was born and raised in Sweden. His father, Teame Isak, moved to Solna in the 1980s due to the civil war in their home country in the Horn of Africa, per The Athletic.

Isak thrived in Spain with Real Sociedad before Newcastle splashed a club record €70 million to sign him. Several top clubs in Europe are now eyeing the striker.

Isak has scored over 100 career goals in over 250 appearances and is only improving.

Isak's magical assist vs Everton

Sports Brief earlier reported on Isak producing a sensational assist during Newcastle's clash against Everton in the 2022/23 Premier League season.

The Swede picked up the ball on the halfway line, evaded challenges and left defenders in his wake as he made his way to the byline. He then squared the ball to his teammate, Jacob Murphy, who tapped in.

Burglars target Isak's home

Sports Brief also previously reported on Isak's home being targeted by burglars who stole his car at Darras Hall in Northumberland. According to the police, the vehicle was found abandoned, and the occupants fled.

The incident comes three months after Joelinton, Isak's teammate, had his home broken into.
