Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho tops charts as Brazil's top Premier League top scorer... so who else is leading the way for their respective country?

  • Philippe Coutinho scored Liverpool's leveller during win over Stoke City
  • He leaped above Juninho to become Brazil's leading Premier League scorer
  • Sergio Aguero, Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie feature on top scorer list

Philippe Coutinho's equaliser against Stoke City saw the Liverpool playmaker become Brazil's leading Premier League goalscorer.

The 24-year-old came off the substitutes' bench to get his side back in the game with 70 minutes on the clock.

Coutinho's strike, his 30th in England's top-flight division, allowed him to overtake former Middlesbrough star Juninho as the Premier League's most potent scorer to hail from Brazil.

Stats provided by Opta

Juninho scored 29 goals in 125 games during his time in England while Coutinho has managed to net 30 goals in 132 league appearances.

Oscar is next on the list of Brazil's top Premier League scorers with 21 while Roberto Firmino, who also scored at the weekend, has 20 goals in 61 Premier League games for Liverpool.

Fellow Brazilians Gilberto Silva, Ramires and current Chelsea winger Willian have all bagged 17 Premier League goals in their respective careers.

It will probably come as no real surprise that Sergio Aguero is flying the flag for Argentina with an impressive 118 goals while Thierry Henry is the Premier League's most lethal Frenchman with 175.

Alan Shearer, who represented Blackburn and Newcastle with distinction, is the Premier League's top goalscorer with a staggering 260 goals so he tops the charts for England.

Former Crystal Palace manager Iain Dowie is yet to be replaced as the Premier League's most deadly Northern Irishman with 33 while Montserrat's Ruel Fox also makes the list (36).

Current Premier League stars Riyad Mahrez (Algeria), Marko Arnautovic (Austria), Romelu Lukaku (Belgium), Alexis Sanchez (Chile) and Antonio Valencia (Ecuador) also feature.
