This is the horrifying moment a helicopter suddenly spins out of control and crash lands killing a pedestrian instantly - as the pilot and passengers escape with minor injuries.
The dramatic video was taken by tourist Vivian Carolina Cataldo, 34, who was inside the helicopter when it crashed.
She had been on a panoramic tour of the town of Ubatuba, a popular beach resort in the southeastern Brazilian state of Sao Paulo.
In the video taken from inside the helicopter, the aircraft can be seen taking off and Ms Cataldo films the scenery with her husband, Paulo Thiago Alves, 38
As the aircraft makes its way across the bay an alarm can be heard sounding and the helicopter suddenly begins dropping to the ground
In the video taken from inside the helicopter, the aircraft can be seen taking off and Ms Cataldo films the scenery with her husband, Paulo Thiago Alves, 38, sat at the front of the helicopter next to the pilot.
As the aircraft makes its way across the bay an alarm can be heard sounding and the helicopter suddenly begins dropping to the ground.
The pilot can do nothing to stop the helicopter, a Robinson R44 Raven II, crashing towards the ground and the impact can be heard as more alarms sound after the collision.
The helicopter crashed into pedestrian Alessandro Correia Leite, 42, who died at the scene.
The pilot and his passengers - who are a married couple from the town of Bauru in the state of Sao Paulo - all escaped the wreck with only minor injuries.
Alessandro Correia Leite, 42, was killed in the city of Ubatuba on New Year's Day when a helicopter crashed on top of him (pictured, medics try to save him)
Mr Leite (pictured) had just left his father's house after having coffee when the helicopter fell from the sky and crushed him
Police said the aircraft had just taken off and was in the first minute of flight when it began losing altitude.
Video taken from the scene shows the wreckage of the helicopter in the street, and paramedics trying to save Mr Leite.
Father Antônio Correa Leite Neto told G1 that he had been having coffee with his son just moments before he died.
'I had just had coffee with him. He left and I stayed in the bedroom lying down,' he said.
'I heard the noise and shouted at my other boy. It was normal helicopter noise, but at the same time there was a different noise.
'I left screaming for my son to "call the fireman for the person lying there".'
The helicopter was taking a married couple on a panoramic beach tour when it fell from the sky a minute after takeoff and landed on Mr Leite
The pilot and his passengers escaped the accident with only minor injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation
It was only when he got closer to the crash site that Mr Leite Neto realised that it was his son who had been injured.
Local politician Bruno Aragão said he had spoken with the female occupant of the plane and that she had seen a light come on before the craft started falling.
The crash remains under investigation and police have not given any indication of what caused it.
The helicopter tour was organised by Helicon who said they regretted the incident and added they would help support the family of the victim.
The couple inside the helicopter at the time of the crash have now both been discharged from hospital.
