It's the time of the month where Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp waves away most of his players, crosses his fingers and hopes for the best.

The international break hasn't proven ideal for the Reds in recent times.

Adam Lallana suffered an injury while with England in September, while last month Sadio Mane broke his thumb, Naby Keita suffered a hamstring problem and Mohamed Salah tweaked a muscle.

And as well as the training and games themselves comes the additional strain of often long-distance travel, not least for Liverpool's Brazilian trio of Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino and Fabinho.

In September, they were in the United States for a pair of friendlies, and October saw them in Saudi Arabia for another double header.

Thankfully, though, this time the Reds contingent will be considerably closer to their adopted home.

Brazil play a friendly against South American rivals Uruguay on Friday at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.

Then, on Tuesday, the Selecao are at MK Dons to take on Cameroon.

Even though it's the international break the LFC news doesn't stop - latest HERE

“Most of the players have only one game (in the international break),” said Klopp after Sunday's win over Fulham.

“England and Brazil have two games not too cool, and have the latest game as well on the Tuesday night.

“It's good that the Brazilians are at least in England and not somewhere so the stress of the travel won't be too much.”

Liverpool resume after the international break with a trip to Watford for a 3pm Saturday kick-off, the first of six games in 18 days ahead of the hectic festive schedule.
