(Agencia CMA Latam) - Economists surveyed by the Brazilian central bank raised their forecasts for economic growth in 2017 to 0.72%, from 0.70% last week. For 2018, the median estimate for GDP growth increased for the sixth week in a row, to 2.50% from 2.43% last week.
Projections for Brazil's debt-to-GDP ratio in 2017 remained at 52.25%, while for 2018 forecasts increased to 55.72%, from 55.71% last week.
Projections for the Brazilian industrial output growth in 2017 was kept unchanged at 1.18%, while for 2018 economists estimates were raised to 2.50%, from 2.40% in the previous week.
